Over the years Waylon Jennings has been one of the best vocalists country music ever had. Along with Paycheck, Jones, Twitty, and several others, and he was also a great stylist. Single handedly inventing a subgenre of country music that is imitated even today. So take that voice, and that style and put it to Hank Williams's lyrics and what to you get? A country music masterpiece that's what. Waylon Sings Hank Williams is a true masterpiece. Country music fans will probably be familiar with most of the tracks on this CD. This is truly a touching tribute CD as Waylon puts his own stamp upon Hank's classics. Showing both his love of the songs and songwriter, and the influence they both had on him. Waylon Sings Hank Williams is an intimate, enjoyable Waylon Jennings album. Released more than twenty years after it was recorded. Track List 1.
