A lot of people are aware of the existence of the subconscious. However, not many people are knowledgeable of the fact that the subconscious can be controlled and manipulated. This ability of gaining access to your subconscious and altering its influence on you is referred as autosuggestion. You may not be aware, but your subconscious is eve-present in your everyday actions. In truth, the subconscious is not entirely a subordinate influencing power in your mind. Its a very powerful influencer that may alter the decision of your conscious mind. You may have been amidst a situation wherein you are on the verge of deciding whether or not to purchase a laptop for yourself. In your mind, youre juggling between the thought of having to spend a lot of money for a laptop and the thought of deeply wanting to buy one. Eventually, you decide to buy the laptop and take it home with you. You may reason out that buying the laptop is a good and wise decision because you thought about it long and hard. What you may not know is the fact that your subconscious is strongly influencing your decision. Many communication experts agree that in any situation, there is always a gatekeeper that mediates between the information and the recipient. Just like in the media, the actual occurrences may differ slightly from the broadcasted news information. This is caused by the varying mindset of each individual. As the information is passed on, it gets altered along the way. Similarly, the subconscious affects the conscious mind. Metaphorically, your subconscious is a machine that works by itself. You are the owner of that machine. In order for you to gain control, youll have to overpower that machine and manipulate it according to your will. Lets say you are a businessman. You have to make decisions everyday that greatly affect your business performance. At times, you wonder where that voice in your head is coming from; the one always plays as the devils advocate whenever you need to decide on something. That is your subconscious. Once you recognize this, you are set to learn the skill of controlling your subconscious. Having established this, it is very important to learn how to train your conscious mind to program your subconscious. Youll need to repeatedly affirm your conscious mind to feed your subconscious with influencing power. In fact, many communication experts claim that saying your goals aloud repeatedly helps your subconscious adopt those goals and work automatically. This is the most basic step of controlling your subconscious. Once you have done this, you have to practice concentrating and gaining control of your mind. If you are in a situation where your mind is really set on something but your actions do not follow through, it means that you lack the control of your subconscious. You need to know the fact that your subconscious automatically dictates your conscious mind with what it is programmed to do. This is very important, as your bodily actions are mere reflections of your subconscious. As if its an involuntary muscle that works independently. Once you have applied all of this, youll notice a great difference in the results of actions and decisions that you do. The subconscious is so powerful that it can either make or break you. Training it to function properly with the right goals in your mind, youll definitely be able to fulfill whatever it is that you put your mind into. The next time you are caught in a situation, you have to decide on something, concentrate deeply and keep in touch with your subconscious mind. Youll notice the autosuggestion that it will do, allowing you to succeed in whatever endeavor you have.
