Future Articles On My Drawing Board (Come see!)

When I built my website (humordoctormd), I knew there would be plenty of humor, because I've been in the humor business most of my life. But, I wanted to address serious issues as well, such as good healthcare; the environment; encouraging kids to stay in school; and other issues that were important to me and I hope to others, etc. To do this, I had to write articles on a number of topics, and I placed them on my website a couple of years ago, and will continue to do so.

From: 8/06 to 11/06 - 28 of my 48 articles have been published on other websites, and I thank all the website owners for doing so.

MY FUTURE ARTICLES INCLUDE:

* Excuse-Makers Are A Dime a Dozen: I hate to be around negative people, who whine about what they CAN'T do instead of what they CAN Do.

* Dealing With The Inevitable...DEATH! We're all going to "kick the bucket," sooner or later, so I've decided I would deal with it. A celebration of life...I've listed all my accomplishments in life, and now my legacy can be a reality. And, I'm not talking about money or material things here either!

* The Importance of Praise; When was the last time you got an "atta-boy" or an "atta-girl?" You probably can't remember, right? I think praise is one of the most important things in our culture, and there is not enough of it. Praise is especially important for children and young people.

* Knock-knock...Who's There?; Ideas don't make appointments or knock on your front door, either. Ideas come around when they want to...or they decide to play hooky and don't show up at all.

* You Can't Rush Creativity: I've been in the idea business for a good part of my life, and in this article, I'll share with the reader, how ideas came about, and how long they took to put in place, etc.

* To All The Young People Out There...Stay In School: This phrase is on every page of my 200 page website, and it is my way of encouraging young people to stay in school. But, this article talks about the difficulties I had in school, and for the student...nobody has promised any of us a rose garden.

* Have You Ever Said Hello To An Enema?; Years ago, I suffered from bleeding ulcers, and I had to undergo some awful tests to get well. In this piece, I talk candidly about those awful tests, so the reader will take care of himself or herself, so you won't have have a plastic tube up your nose or other places, etc.

* Life In a Homeless Shelter; "It can't happen to me!" Yeah...right! I don't think the average American is afraid of hurricanes; earthquakes; or even terrorists! I think American's are afraid of being homeless someday! And, it can happen to anyone as it happened to me. I lived in a homeless shelter for six weeks, and I describe what it was like.

* Building My Website...One Brick at a Time: Here, I talk about the planning and building of my website, as first it is an entertainment site, to bring in visitors...and a business site will follow.

* Getting My Confidence and Keeping It; Having high confidence is one of the most important things in my life. If my confidence is high, I think can do almost anything! Lift tall buildings...I'm faster than a locomotive...(you're loco alright!)

* My Integrity is NOT Negotiable!; There are those, who have lied and cheated their way through life. I can't take money or material things with my to the grave...but, I will take my integrity with me.

* Is Life Passing You By?; One day you're 25 years old...and the next day...you're 55 years old and preparing to enter the Old Folks Home. My but, how time flies...what have you done with your life?

* Keeping Up With The Jones' and the Chaves' (Forget it!); You can't take it with you...so show my your resume. What are you doing for others; the environment; animals/pets...what are you doing? (Why would I care about 287 bathrooms in a mansion, that are never used except for status?)

* The Positive and Healing Power of Humor; We all know that laughter is the best medicine, and humor has so much therapeutic value. (Maybe, humor will help to heal you, Jer)

* Do You Have an Imagination? Use it!; People have told me over the years, that I have such an imagination. In this piece, I share with the reader, some of the wild and crazy things I've done over the years.

* Is America Becoming One Big Drunk Tank? I have two alcoholic brothers and one alcoholic sister, and the more I watch the news, the more I see so many people who are having problems with alcohol and drugs. Leaders like judges; school administrators and teachers; news people and so forth. The headlines of the local newspaper (11/14/06) reads: NEEDLESS TRAGEDY! That's where a man, who already had FIVE DWI's in other states, was going the wrong way on the highway, and killed 5 members of a family! Alcohol/drug use in this country...A DISGRACE!

* Can You Trust Anyone Anymore? Over the years, I've been betrayed by friends, the people at the VA who are supposed to help the veteran; Board members at the singles club I belonged to; family members and even my own mother! From now, people will have to EARN my trust, because I trust nobody anymore!
